Thanks, Chris.

Not had a watch on my para strap for quite some while and I wanted to switch the Otago off an orange ZULU; put them together and I think its a brilliant combo. Made sure it has a brushed buckle to go with the case.

I've never been completely happy with any of the straps that I've had for my Solo. I have this lovely cloth strap that I got with my Tudor BB that was just sitting in a drawer. That didn't seem right.

So, peanut butter. Meet jelly. I like how it works. And it fits a lot better than whatever else I've been using.

Could you all please stop posting BBB pictures, I'm finding it very hard to focus.

looks good. i'll bet it feels like it wears a little smaller with the thinner strap.

It does, yeah. By a lot. I think it was a mistake to get that super thick leather strap when I bought it, but since I was able to get it as a throw in and since it's an impressive piece of leather, I wanted it to work. But yeah, it was definitely too thick. Feels much better on the Tudor strap. I'm glad that the buckle doesn't have any Tudor markings on it.

^^^ I agree that the Bremont Vintage straps are just too thick - even if they are lovely. I've switched my Solo to a Hirsch Liberty, and it has improved the comfort no end - and I think it also makes the watch wear a bit smaller...

Sorry for the dodgy picture - it's the only one I have of this combo..

Thanks! Now I just have to decide if the whole brushed case / polished buckle combo will bother me enough. :problem:

A quality buckle and sealed holes... he could be on to a winner with that!

Tried on the Weiss field watch in Downtown LA today, (this one is only #150) and was very very impressed. The strap was amazing and the latte dial had a cool vintage vibe as well. If I ever make up my mind on this one though, it will have to be black. Also decently decorated Unitas movement on the displayback.

I think I can just pull off the 42mm all-dial size, what do you think ?

Nice looking watch - and yes you can just about pull of that 42  my wrists are anout 6.75 and now stick to 42mm max (which is a shame as there are lots if nice 43mm)
