Posted pics of this elsewhere this week but it gave me a touch of Cold War nostalgia so I decided to wear it today. My '80s vintage Soviet-made Amphibia. Or "Aмфибия" if you prefer. Bit of a step down from the beautiful El Primero posted above but it's still nice looking in a homely, proletarian sort of way.

Never seen one of these before, very nice......

Running off to Amazon to look.
It's a reissue of one of Tissot's very neat 1960s offerings. FYI, the blue face is only available on what can charitably be described as "the most uncomfortable bracelet in history": shaped metal bars with circular steering wheel spoke cut-outs and a weird little articulated section with fold-over clasp. I was forced to order the OEM black leather band that comes new on the black and white dialed models. Big improvement!

These Russian beaters come in very handy for beach duty. The acrylic is now scratched to Hades. Polywatch beckons when I get home (old pic)

Impatiently waiting for mine to return w its new bezel. One of the numbers had scratched off a bit, they supposedly replaced it w a new bezel that has filled, debossed numbers.
the "g" is for Greg...
