It arrived on Monday and the first thing I did was remove the terrible shiny, plasticky 'croc' strap and put it on a Di Modell Nevada. Now I need to source a proper oyster bracelet

Re: Non CW of the Day
Been wearing the same watch for a week at a time lately instead of changing everyday. This week is the great automatic Seiko 6139 column wheel chronograph. Supposedly, the first automatic chronograph ever in space.

Re: Non CW of the Day
And you didn't
I've tried all the usual suspects and the original bracelet for the SARB017 has been discontinued. The place I bought the watch from made enquiries for me but apparently there is nothing in the pipeline until August. Even then, the original Seiko bracelet for this was something like $178, which quite frankly is ridiculous. I'm going to take a punt on an oyster from yobokies but I think the end links will need some fettling.
And I'll be doing a new SOTC when the Doxa arrives. It has shifted dramatically since the last one

You certainly didn't let it down !
I tried on one of these for the first time last weekend and I was hugely impressed with everything about it. The size, weight, face clarity, display back and overall feeling of craftsmanship was frankly a big surprise. It felt up there with my AT for sure.
