Not at all. I got it late last year from a Seiko shop in USA. Paid about £130 (which was a bit of a bargain). Currently $295 on Amazon.com
Now that is really tempting - just off to have a quick look, do you have the seiko code number to hand?
The common name for this model is "Samurai". I believe the model is SNM031. These are out of production now, but I think there's still a few new ones in the supply chain. Here's a link to a seller (never used them so I have no clue about them..)....

Just a few days old. Not mechanical, but solar powered and "atomic". iPhone photo, sorry about that. Taken yesterday.

Serious looking watch and I really like the look of it. Where would one procure such a time piece by the way? I see that it has a miyota movement, the same as the one in my Junkers Horizon and I can notice a distinct difference in the style of sweep between the miyota and the eta in my trident, with the miyota tending to judder around rather than sweep smoothly. It also stops for a split second if the watch gets a knock or if I spin my wrist round. Have you noticed anything like this with the Boschett?

There are still a few of these left on the Boscett site all have the ETA 2824 fitted, which would obviously make it a better watch. I went for the Miyota 8215 as it was $200 cheaper. Never had any problems with the movement, if starting the watch from stopped I wait till the second hand is in the right place give it a quick shake and a few winds on the crown and then set the time. I have never noticed this particular movement stop. It is still running since I tookit off last night and is about 12 secs fast since yesterday morning, not bad for a cheap movement. The 8215 only beats at 18,000 bph as compared to the ETA's 28,000 bph so that accounts for the apparent judder. Only the Seiko Spring Dive and the electric "Hummers" from the 1970's truely sweep.

Received this 2nd hand Breitling Aerospace this week so I am wearing it today after the usal clean and ultrasonic.

It is Titanium and I can not believe how light it is. 88 grams on the scale.

When I first saw it I thought that it was not for me. But the more I saw them and the more I read about them on other forums the more I wanted one. It took a while to find one with the right model from the right year but I eventually landed it.

ETA Thermoline 988.352 which makes it a SuperQuartz watch and for Breitling that means plus or minus 15 secs per YEAR.

Digital read out with chtrono, 2nd time zone, countdown, alarm, day and date. All controlled from the crown, Very funky but weird not to have a seconds hand. Perfect size at 40mm and a svelte 9.8mm thick. Fells very comfortable. And a great lume.
