I'm miffed as to why some people, including my wife, do not like the cyclops on this gorgeous watch. IMO the GMT would look positively naked without it. Great photograph.

i'm still torn on the cyclops. general aesthetics, i'm not a big fan. but i'm also old and going blind on the farsighted side, so it would actually let me read the date w/o glasses. in the end, this is why i prefer no date versions, when possible.
the "g" is for Greg...

The Rolex cyclops can be a bit of a Marmite matter (for non-Brits - love/hate). For me, I prefer the no date Sub by far over the cyclops version. yet my Explorer II has the cyclops and I'm quite at home with it now. And if somebody gave me a cyclops Sub I wouldn't throw it back to them.
