Stunning! Great purchase!

Love its simplicity, the proportions and the clean thin bezel/ edge.

If you ever loose he power of sense and decide to "flip it", please PM me before doing anything else :-)

Thank you all for those lovely comments. Looking back, it seems that all my experimenting has been leading quietly (or otherwise) to this, and that my manic collecting phase has now reached a kind of consummation, for a while at least!

Interesting, too, that I photographed the Nomos with the watch that started it all off and that, despite the 50-year gap, is undoubtedly the closest to it in spirit and execution. Sleep well! 8)

Congradulation AVO, definitely an acquisition worthy of passing on to whoever will be inheriting your collection. A brilliant example of fine watch.

Using the word in a slightly different context, Leo...basically that I've gone as far as I can go in terms of quality (and funds!!) for a while, so I will have to stop buying and take stock.
The exception being that I will need a cheap (mechanical) diver for holidays, and I'll be looking keenly later in the year to see if any of CW's new 2012 designs hit the mark. 8)

Congratulations! Are you taking it to school today ? :D
I love the contrast between the simple, elegant design of the dial and the high level of decoration on the movement.

Love the face! I really like how thin it seems sitting on your wrist.
