Dear Nico,

Looking very good, the crown really suits it - is this the finished article?

How is it for accuracy?

Thank you!

I think the crown is perfect, too.

This is the finished watch, I hope. :D

Maybe I will have some ideas in the future, perhaps a "gooseneck-modulation" (I don't know the English word)

I cannot say much about the accuracy because I change my watches every day. I have made some observation and I think it could be about -20 sec / day. Normally that is too much, but I am not troubled because of this. Perhaps I will give the watch to a watchmaker to regulate the movement.

Hi Nico,

If this was my watch, I would be wearing it every day to show it off!!

Re regulation, perhaps be a good idea to let the movement "run in" for several months before having it regulated by a watchmaker.

I think I will let the movement "run in". That is a good idea.

Very Sharp! The crown really sets it off too.

Can you describe the gooseneck-modulation more? I have absolutely no idea what that could be and you made me curious.

 It is not "goose-neck", but "swan-neck" or in German: Schwanenhalsfeinreguliering.

Have a look at this photo, the swan-neck makes sure that with the screw you can make very tiny adjustments, without it it's more difficult to make a small adjustment:

Thank you Hans!

My dictionary translates "Schwanenhals" into "gooseneck"

But this must be a bad dictionary, becaus a swan is obviously not a goose.

So to regulate this movement, you rotate the screw that is horizontal with the square head that is slightly out of focus in the picture?

Yes, that's right. You can imagine that without the swan-neck it is harder to give the regulator a very small push

Nico, again: great result, I love your watch, and the box gives it a wonderful new home! :D

Is this the final result or are you going to apply a logo or your name to the dial?

Thank you Hans!

I think this is the final result. I have only one wish: A gravure on the case back.

But I don't know a company or a guy who makes such gravures. The most companies do not take such special orders. They only manufacture many number of pieces.
