New watch day!
A new arrival today. This one wasn't planned as my next big purchase, but when something you've been wanting comes along at the right price, you have to go for it. My planned next big purchase will have to get pushed back a bit, as this ate quite a bit of that budget.
My first watch from GS
The polishing mitt is a nice touch
SGBN005
Seller had the same size wrist as I do. Fits without having to remove any links. Obviously it was meant to be.
It's quite mesmerizing to look at. The way the light plays off the zaratsu polished markers is really something.
This has pushed the Sealander off the want list, for now. I think there may still be a 36mm 3 hander (white maybe?) somewhere in the future.

Congratulations Chris. Such a neat purchase.
A perfectly proportioned watch.
GS is a brand that it is safe to check out using a loupe. Not something that can always be said about all expensive brands.

It's a fine piece I've also been close and personal with. Congrats!

Congratulations Chris!!! That is an outstanding addition. Absolutely brilliant Grand Seiko. Any back story on the purchase?
Small collection of timepieces that I enjoy

Awesome get and when the seller has the same size wrist it can't be beat. I've had that luck a couple times. Enjoy!

Re: New watch day!
Nothing exciting. I've been watching for an SBGN 005 or 003 for quite some time. Prices over the last year have been higher than what I wanted to pay, or they were snapped up instantly when the price was "right". This one came up on Canwatchco for a bit more than my budget, but not too far off. And it sat. Price drop one. Nothing. Price drop two. Almost at the price I want. I'm about to send a PM offering my price, when the seller drops it to the exact price I'm ready to offer. Done deal! Less than a year old, and in great condition. It's been worn but very well cared for.
I've been wearing it for 5 days straight, and I've realized that could easily be the core of a small collection. The Sealander has enough similarity to it that it could also serve in the same role. t's a fantastic piece.

Top notch acquisition, Chris with definitely a healthy dose of karma at play. Enjoy.
For the Grand Seiko ignoramus that I am, what size is it? You refer to the Sealander, so 39mm? (Yeah, I know I could go and look it up, but that's no fun).
