39mm diameter.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 8:41 am Top notch acquisition, Chris with definitely a healthy dose of karma at play. Enjoy.
For the Grand Seiko ignoramus that I am, what size is it? You refer to the Sealander, so 39mm? (Yeah, I know I could go and look it up, but that's no fun).![]()

^^^^ Cheers Chris. Bang on replacement for a Sealander then.

As for my incoming, take a look at my Window Shopping thread.

Re: New watch day!
Very nice Chris. These are on my very long, shortlist for my next watch.
Is it true that these are now discontinued?
I've seen some new 39mm 9F GMT releases that supposedly replace these.
A bit sportier looking, but not sure I prefer it over your model.
Anyway, enjoy it!

Re: New watch day!
Thanks Ryan. The SBGN 003 and 005 have been replaced by the 027 and 029, with the 4 o'clock crown and date. Some retailers may still have the 003 and 005 though. I definitely prefer the originals.

100% agree. I definitely prefer the originals over what's replacing them. Don't know how they thought they were 'advancing the breed'.
You bought well!

Re: New watch day!
WIth the SBGN series being entry level GS watches, I wonder if they are trying to play off the SKX/SK5 design language that would be familiar to many prospective buyers, with the 4 o'clock crown.
