Richard; not such a big difference with a 25% discount on the JLC. I tried it on last week, but walked away - it was stunning. http://watchfinder.co.uk/Jaeger-LeCoult ... item/41546

Very nice and surprise acquisition Downer. I guess its fair to say GMT is your most favorite complication, and I share the sentiment of hunting down a long time target. I’ve already scratched my panda dial itch after purchasing the FC but when the Movado Datron becomes avavliable at the right price, I took the plunge without much consideration.

E(vil)bay indeed!

Another lovely watch to join the collection, Oris seem to have some very nice examples which as previously said are expensive but can be had at a good price used.

Yes, I saw that one.... Iconic can source a new one for pretty much the same.. I have tried the Hometime three times now - the first time, I was underwhelmed, feeling it was a little bit lightweight - the second time, I tried a gold one and (whisper it) thought it was very nice, and recently I tried the steel again, and it has really grown on me. However, it is still a lot of cash when I'm trying to downsize... I think this one would have to wait until the middle of next year at least - and I have to see how the job situation looks first. :)

I like it! A bit of a departure, sure, but hey, it's a good one.

Cheers. I'm definitely seeing this an experiment, rather than a keeper. I must admit, it's not the easiest dial to read the time at a glance, although it's a very comfortable watch to wear.

The good news is that I got it for a price where I'm confident I can recover my costs in a couple of months - if necessary.
