Very sorry for your loss Greg. I lost my mother on December 14th after a very short battle with lung cancer, so I know what you are going through right now. I have inherited my great great grandfathers mantle clock that was given to him on occasion of his retirement in 1935, and look forward to having a conservative restoration done on it. It is certainly something I will always treasure.

Sincere condolences Greg.

Whilst it is terrible to receive the watch under these circumstances, it is also a wonderful way to remember both your father and grandfather.

When you look down at your wrist you have both your dad and grandad marking the passage of time with you. - A fitting tribute!

Greg, my father passed way in my 20s and has been living in my memory since. He was an awesome mentor and continues to be a great pal. I am sure you will treasure the watch as well as all the lovely memories it brings to you.

Greg, please accept my sincere condolences as well on the passing of your father. The watch will be a fantastic tribute to both your Dad and Grandfather and nice way to you remembering both of them when you wear that vintage Omega. I will follow your story on it's restoration with interest.

Very sorry to hear the news, Greg. The watch is a great keep sake. Hope you are able to get it up to a condition that you're happy with.

Makes me realize how lucky I am that my father is a furniture maker. I'll have plenty of things in the house to help me remember him when the time comes.
