My 'New' Vintage Omega...

Post by Tooks »

Well, I've never really been into vintage watches, but then I was given this as a gift recently, and I'm blown away! :D

It's a 1971 Omega Seamaster Auto, and I've since purchased a genuine NOS black leather strap and also a genuine Omega bracelet although unfortunately not the original 1170/604 combination which is quite rare and now discontinued.

Anybody know what sort of watch box this would originally have shipped in?

Very classy and sexy at the same time. Enjoy!

I guess you could post in the omega forum at TZ. Maybe contact Omega?

That's nice 8) I really like vintage watches and have about 12 now, mostly various versions of the Tissot Seastar, which was kinda like a sister watch to the Seamaster (tissot & Omega merged in 1930) and was the 'more affordable' choice back then, so I believe?!!

This could be dangerous for you now, as I started off with just one vintage Omega Geneve.............and have now 'gone off on one' and have around 8 Tissots, one Titoni, a Rado and one or two random vintage watches!!  They're all great tho 8)

Enjoy the watch.....great gift :D
