My day
My short interest in watches has only ever led me to purchase from Christopher Ward. After I bought my first two in the summer sale last year (mk1 C3 and C7 Bluebird) I thought it best to stick with what I knew and my next two additions stayed close to home, with a C9 chrono from my wife and a C60 GMT.
I knew that whatever my next watch was, that I wanted to diversify out to another brand though had no definite brand in mind nor timeframe for purchase. Having spent all of my watch 'career' simply browsing pictures and reviews online I thought it time to venture out into the real world and take a look at some of those I liked in the flesh. Having found myself in London I decided to pop into Wempe for a bit of a browse and a bit of a chat with someone far more knowledgeable than myself.
Despite only going in for a look, well... I'm sure you've guessed the next part. So without further ado, my newest and first non-CW watch:
The bag
The brand
The watch
The beautiful back
And the wrist shot
A lot has obviously been said about the Nomos Tangente and I won't try to add much other than to say it really is a beautiful watch and I'm glad I have a bit of an impulsive nature. Though I wish the iPad had a better camera!

Many congratulations on a great purchase. The Tangente is a lovely watch and looks great on your wrist. And, of course, now that you've broken free of CWL you are on a very slippery slope!

Re: My day
Welcome to the band of devotees of this wonderful watch!
I have never for an instant regretted getting one two years ago.
You will always look down and smile when you're wearing it and you'll find it hard to take off.
I have lots of nice watches, as do you, so my Nomos doesn't get worn as regularly as I might like. It's always a joy to wear, though, and easily my most precise mechanical.
I wish you joy of it.

Re: My day
Great watch, and a great write-up. Always good to see an excellent slightly impulsive purchase.

Re: My day
Thanks all, I've got it tucked away for a wedding I have in a couple of weeks - I'll let that be it' first official outing. It's definitely a good size for my wrists, I can just about get away with my C9 but I'm happy to have one at the other end of the scale too.
Yes the chaps at Wempe were very accomodating
