I agree with Greg about the DeVille - it's gorgeous. Not at all keen on the Hamilton - the dial decoration does nothing for me!

Not a bad suggestion. But ultimately, I think I've slowly started to hone in on another target to scratch the vintage itch. I suppose I could have 2!
Now, the above is interesting. I bought a Leonidas bi-compax chrono (no moon) just before Christmas, and I have to say it's marvellous. Thread reference

They produced some remarkable complicated watches, such as this triple-date moon phase chronograph:

Compare and contrast the van der Klaauw I showed you earlier...interesting, no?

What about this Longines??? It uses the same movement as the Dubois and the Kristian van der Klaum, a Valjoux 7751, but is far more elegant...

Mmm - that is very lovely, Nicolas - and I suspect it's not in the van der Klaauw price bracket?

Many of these watches seem to conform to a very "classical" feel of watch design. I am now happier than ever with my Ball & its more contemporary vibe

Oris has some big crowns with moon phase complications that won't break the bank.

It's no grand complication but I like it well enough.

My, my. That is very very nice. Not finding it on any of Longines' official pages though. Is it an older model?

Part of me wants to go contemporary here too. I think the Epos is still a strong contender. I'll have to do a little more digging to see what's out there.

Maurice Blum uses Sea-Gull movements, so I've grouped those above, together.

Glad I used the search, I've been looking to add a moonphase to my collection for a while. Really like the Oris Artelier and the white Longines:

Not a fan of leather straps but wouldn't say no to this:

Or this:

And a friend of mine has just bought this from Dubai
