How does the build quality compare with other brands (e.g. CW, Steinhart or Orient)?

Never had a Steinhart or Orient, but i'd personally say they look and feel as good as equally priced CW's (in fact i sent a CW back as i didn't think it looked as good as the price warranted). Others might disagree- (theres some very knowledgable types on here that can pretty much identify watches and their properties by a long digit model number  )
Obviously the early Marloes are using Chinese based movements, but i've not had any complaints with them yet.
If you can pick up a decent Cherwell or Lomond off here or ebay (Cherwell should be around £150-180, Lomond around £275 to £375ish) i think you'll be happy.
So many watches, yet still so little time!
