Manchester United Special Edition TAG Heuer.

Post by Richard D »

Like it or loath it, it will sell. Especially with the club’s global fan base.

Tag & MUFC obviously feel this type of arrangement will be a success, but personally when the branding is for a specific team, I think it's a very limited market. Especially for fans of football, baseball etc where fans are very passionate about their club.

Realistically you only have your own customer base and then you need a watch fan who is prepared to pay £4600 for the privilege. MUFC previously had branding on some of the Bulova Accu Swiss line which I'm guessing was a low seller and that was at a lower price point.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

I assume that a few of the players agents have already contacted the club, indicating that if their clients are forced to wear that, it would be akin to constructive dismissal!

At £4,600 that would be an expensive gift.
