Re: Let's Do the MuDu
Hi there. I appreciated your history of the MuDu brand. I have just been given my Grandfathers gold coloured doublematic by my Dad. He thinks it was bought in Europe by one of his uncles and given to my grandad by him. It has spent at least the last 15 years in a box and yet once taken out it started to work straight away and seems to be keeping good time.

I did see a MuDu for sale a short while ago in the salesroom, https://www.the-saleroom.com/de-de
However, I cannot remember the guide price!

Welcome and enjoy your time here.
If you have not already, pop over to the members introduction section and say a few words, if you wish.
Anything else hidden away in boxes?

I've just come across your very interesting history and discussions regarding MuDu watches.
You may be interested to know that I purchased a MuDu 25 jewel doublematic for about £5 from a Customs & Excise sale of seized goods in 1961.
After 56 years it is still working and keeps perfect time!

Re: Let's Do the MuDu
My father bought a MuDu Doublematic 30 jewel watch from someone he worked with at the Vauxhall factory in the very early 1960’s. He wore the watch virtually every day for over 50 years and was then passed on to me. I wear it rarely but when I do, it always works and keeps good time, and still looks very good.

Re: Let's Do the MuDu
I was recently given a MuDu automatic watch that had been in a drawer for more than ten years. It looks rather sad, the crystal is badly marked but it runs and keeps very good time. I was interested to read the posts about the history of MuDu particularly the reference the Blancpain as the movement is signed BLANCPAIN RAYVILLE S.A. The gold plated case is marked PACT SWISS. Can anyone shed any light on this?
