Jammy

Lovely looking watch. Looking forward to the photos in due course.

That friggin' fly though is a bit of a pain in the ass if you don't mind me saying.

Thanks to all of you for your compliments about the Stowa chrono.
I'll have to get another/better camera before it arrives, so I can take some decent photos.

scooter - I'll go and swat the fly immediately.

Its going to be a long wait ...... Stowa on order

You will love it when it arrives.

It's even better in real life! It is the only watch I have come across that I want both dial versions.

I received an e-mail from Messers. Stowa this morning asking for my wrist size, so that the Milanese bracelet can be cut to size. It seems a little early to be asking such questions if the watch cannot be supplied until March 2012 :?

Am I right to assume that, although cut to size, the bracelet will have some means of minor adjustment ?

I think you must allow any lead time from Stowa's suppliers (re CWL's experience with supplies and delivery dates). Even if they manufacture bracelet in-house there will be an allocated slot when the machines need to be setup.

I would usually expect some micro adjustment in the clasp. However, if it's the 'hidden' clasp type (where the ends click into the butterfly like clasp) then maybe not.

Are there any pictures of the bracelet/clasp to assist?

I was concerned that "March 2012" might become "December 2011" - which would be wonderful, but might cause a cash flow problem

Looks to me like the hidden type with little room for adjustment (unless the silver bars are links, even then they'd have to do half links!). Think original CWL bracelet (e.g. C6) and what a pain that is to adjust, still hit and miss with fit on some people.

So I would give your wrist size that you feel comfortable with. I'd make sure it's your wrist though and not a measurement from some other watch/bracelet as that may sit differently when worn.

Nice strap BTW, very dress watch.

That looks very like this Staib bracelet from the Wach Band Centre, I have one of these and it is adjusted by removing the solid links at the back, they are the split pin type and the links are narrow, so it should be possible to get a good fit. These bracelets are from a German company so it is possible that Stowa use them.

No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

That looks interesting :-k
Now from a personal perspective and totally off-topic, will it suit a CWL C60? :? (see this thread).

@ st-rider and alphajet - Thank you for the advice about the bracelet, much appreciated
@ paw3001 - If the wait is tooooo long, I may have to purchase something else in the meantime. Thanks for the pics.
