Mmmm... detail... that's what it's all about.

Very, very nice indeed.

A colleague of mine also recommended Banks Lyon to me. Well worth a 'phone call I believe.
So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.

Beautiful watch. The Aqua Terras are much nicer than the "cooking" Rolexes, IMHO.

Downer has taken some beautiful pictures, SHOCKER!

Very nice sir. Green does look lovely and subtle but gives it that something. Blue is still my favourite on the AT (or any Omega actually other than Speedy) but this would be next.

Congratulations again Richard. A truly lovely piece with some great added interest from the green markings. The AT8500 really is a quality watch, in whatever colour combo - particularly this previous incarnation.

A lovely watch, one that I thought was a keeper for me, but turned out not to be. I do sometimes miss it, but retirement meant I never wore it any more... Here are some shots of mine (including the lovely movement) to add to your already excellent selection...

A very nice watch as AT's are in general, I can't really get on with the case design personally favouring the Airking/ grand seiko looks.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Old and new? As in, old style 8500 with all brushed bracelet, and new style with PCL? Just guessing :?

My apologies, it seems you're quite right.
Differing date window, a little more text on dial and bracelet = nearly an additional 1100 quid.
Woohoo !!!

To be fair, the new one also has the upgraded movement, with improved anti- magnetic properties.

Also, it's possible to buy the new one at a good discount, so the real gap is probably £2-300.

But the 'old' one looks so much nicer

I agree the bracelet looks better (no PCLs) but i prefer the new dial. I find it less cluttered and just more attractive. Not found anyone who agrees yet though...

i'm with you there.

plus the whole "why would i pay extra for the antimagnetic movement if i will never need it?" factor.

I saw the new "golf" version today. It's got too much green on it, and the green seemed brighter... Not a watch I would buy.
