It was a Sugess ST1901 that was in the AliX sale last week for a mere £75.

I wasn't sure about the colour, but it's here now, and looks pretty good. The strap is navy not black. 40mm with a 20mm lug width. Came with an extra mesh strap.

It's settling down to about +9 spd which is fine.

Hard to take a picture without blocking the light, so it's at a slight angle.

Looks very good for the price, does it have a display case back?

Yes. Case back here. There's still assorted clearance watches at this sort of price on AliX. Optional swan neck regulator at the right of this image.

Wow, I had no idea.

I have just realised that this design is very similar to a Breitling Top Time chronograph, down to the squared off subdials and the bezel markings/colours around the 3 o'clock. I don't think Breitling have the lightning bolt chronograph hand.

The Top Time racing with an elliptical "shield" design on the dial is also one that's homaged on Ali X.

To be honest I was uncertain about the subdial shape, and the coloured detailing. I wasn't even sure I wanted to spend £75 on this in the AliX sale, but I quite like the Sugess now I have it! I just really did not know about the actual source of the design. I don't have Breitling, and other than the slide-rule Navitimers I wasn't really familiar with their collections at all.

I think this is really cool! Especially for the price. I know Breitling do have similar subdial designs but I don’t think it’s necessarily unique to them so I don’t think it’s too much of a copy.
I post a few watch pictures now and then to a little Instagram account - 16 followers and counting!

This was so good, I decided to buy another in the recent AliX sale. I wasn't sure about this colour, but it looks even better in real life than in the pictures. The orange strap, and coloured hands go very well with the dial. Even cheaper this time, £70 with the discount. :D

PS. I also ordered a patio strimmer to clean up the paving blocks!
