Incoming Damasko DA 36

Post by ddav »

As many of you know, I've been on the look out for one of these since seeing one on this very forum a few years ago (have I really been here that long). I love it's simplicity and legibility, the extra effort Damasko put into toughening it up. After many missed opportunities this dropped through my door yesterday.

First impressions, it's got some heft to it, wears smaller than the 40mm would suggest. In part this is due I'm sure to the case and face being the same colour. Good strong and long lasting lume.

It's only six months old from Page and Cooper and comes in a simple lacquered type box

I've been torn between the regular and damest versions of this watch. As you can see I've got the Damest version!

The crystal on this is even better than my C11, you almost want to touch the hand set to see where the crystals gone.

The strap with deployant clasp is very comfortable, the highlight stitching really picks up the second hand.

I also picked up three more straps for it in the deal, one with white stitching pin and buckle and the other two with deployant.
Now I'm well aware this is overkill somewhat, so will pick my favorite and probably move on the others.

Thanks for taking the time to get this far.
I'm not sure there is anything left out there for me right now, I really do seem to have found everything I've been looking for.

We'll see.......

No doubt about it, these are great watches, and tough as old boots.

An excellent pick-up. Congratulations! :)

Yes, very tough! I've knocked it about and swum in the sea with my DC56 before, albeit on a nylon strap.

The case of the watch is as immaculate today as when I first bought it.

Congrats on yours
