That's right, you read it here first (although I may have said this before): I think I never need buy another watch again.
Now admittedly I already had a fair breadth of brands, styles and complications in my collection. So my completion watch had to fulfil a very particular set of criteria:
1. Something quite unique to everything else in my collection
2. Accuracy was a must - no point in completing one's collection with a movement of poor accuracy
3. Complications - I have few watches with complications other than day/date/GMT/chronograph, so I wanted something loaded with complications
4. GMT - a feature I am coming to use more and more, so a dual time feature would be of high benefit
5. Chronograph - similarly, a stopwatch feature is sometimes handy, and so while packing everything in, I felt this was a must too
6. Noticeable enough to draw some comments, but not so noticeable I am going to get mugged for it
7. Wearable day-in, day-out; I'm not getting a completion watch for it to just sit in the box
8. A watch that is joyful to behold every time I look at it
And so, here it is:
[Pause for effect...]
This is the Citizen Star Wars Rebel Pilot.
It's quartz, so highly accurate. It is packed with complications such as perpetual calendar (which doesn't need adjusting until 2099), dual time, stopwatch and temperature. Already I have had plentiful comments about how amazing the watch is, including several assistants from my local AD who said it was the coolest watch they have ever seen. And above all, it's Star Wars so it must be cool.
The bracelet is so light and tinny that you barely notice you're wearing it.
My only concern is that criteria 6 might be in danger of not being fulfilled because it will draw significant attention, and I could imagine that some unscrupulous individuals might go to great lengths to get it off my wrist

So far I absolutely love it.
