As with everyone else, I will say "excellent choice!"
Never owned a manual wind Speedie, but I currently own two automatic versions (Broad Arrow and MkII re-edition). I previously owned a reduced model but sold it because it was a wee bit small for my taste and have often wondered whether I should get a full sized one. Maybe one day...

Thanks everyone. It IS a great watch. There are many subtleties, like the mirror polish on the upper part of the lugs, the light playing in the plexi, the different shades of grey on the dial according to how light hits it. It just looks great, doesn't it. And when you realize what rigours NASA put it through, you know that it will keep performing for you no matter what.
