How would you wash a NATO?
Re: How would you wash a NATO?
I always assumed they were disposable. Like those gloves you get at the petrol station...

This is one reason why so many duals are fought at petrol stations!
(It could also because so many of us drive diesels and that stuff is plain nasty to get on your hands!!!)

We don't need gloves here, most of our gas stations have pump attendants, there actually weren't any self service stations until quite recently.

I just sling mine in the washing machine with the rest of the laundry. Never had a problem yet.

Because it keeps my skin looking peachy fresh and stunningly young!
All joking aside, we do have disposable plastic gloves available at petrol stations.
The problem is that as the diesel is heavy, kerosene based, it doesn't evaporate and literally covers the pump including the handle.
Once on your hands, it get everywhere, amd smells for months.
Hence us poncey Brits need little gloves!

Never wear the gloves, I can't be arsed.
Made me smile and remember the old days when I turned up for the first time at a petrol station in BIM and there was an attendant to fill the car up.
Fabric Nato's go in the washing machine, leather Nato's gain a patina.
