Gyroscopic watch winders

Post by magicman »

Hello there, after watching a video of someone's 3 watch collection on YouTube, I was impressed with the watch winder the man had his watch on, A gyroscopic winder.

Although I found the info and sales on them quite limited, I did stumble across this review, and by gum the man has a CW and a Tribus on it.
Could it be a forum member ?

I quite fancy one, but I don't really want to take a chance, on a cheaper model and I would definitely want to see one of the £500 plus versions in the flesh, before contemplating buying one.

I think they look great in action.

Has anyone on here got one or even seen one ?

Here's a link to the video.

That’s Josh. Long time forum member and thoroughly nice bloke. Does a lot of CW reviews.

Form name “eggtronics”. He hasn’t posted for quite a while.

Alternatively you could strap a bunch of watches to each arm, put on ABBA Gold and do a couple of hours energetic dad dancing, which would also get your heart rate up.

Cheaper and more fun.

The winder is actually pretty cool.

If you wanted a cheaper option but don’t want the exercise as in Steve’s suggestion, you could just strap on all your watches and go down to the local fair and ride one of these for about $1

An interesting article untill you read the comments posted to the bottom of Josh's review and the hyper link doesnt appear to work. :problem:

I’ll add/reiterate that is IS really cool, but the review says it best; it is a true luxury product. $450 (which is the half-off price) isn’t cheap by any means.

Edit: I didn’t notice the comments at the bottom of the review until I saw the above post… uh oh!

I’d go for Waterloo. The history bloke on the shelf is always repeating himself...

And that WAS a wind-up.

The real thing is the Bernard Favre Planet, approx €1500 depending on exact model, definitely a talking point if just a little pricey....

Joking aside, if I won the lottery I’d have all of my watches set up on these - it would make a brilliant display :D
