Stunning watch that I would dearly love to own, but...........

10k USD for a non spring drive just doesn't make sense to me.

It makes sense to me. I think the quality competes with others at the price and the movement is arguably better than many mainstream Swiss. I'd have the blue jobbie.

I would take the blue too. Whilst there is no denying it stands up against many of its Swiss rivals for the price, I was thinking closer to home.....

A couple of grand more than this is the cause of my puzzlement.

They certainly look good and by the look of them a direct comparison to the Rolex Sub simular money.
IWC Mark XVII
Rolex Oyster Datejust Perpetual (1971)
Rolex Precision 9ct gold (1962)
Rotary Les Originales
Rotary Tank
C9 5 day Chromometer
C1 Russell

One thing I definitely prefer is the Grand Seiko branding compared to the Seiko/GS previously used.

(And wonderful to see that they have kept the decent large case size!)

Great looking dial. Now if they were a bit smaller and I could pick one up with a 30%ish discount from RRP (to try and limit the loss if it was flipped) I think I would look at one as an alternative to a SubC.

Although I still prefer Spring Drive to the Hi Beat.
