Imagine this ad but done with the CWL Grand Prix C70 range.

Yep, that's not bad :)

Tudor is owned by Rolex, and was 'created' by the guy who set up Rolex to sell nice, cheaper watches basically!!

Yep, Tudor are a Rolex sub brand (pun not intended!) with many similar models and which often have a previous generation movement or slight money-saving cuts on material, etc. A bit like celeron to pentium.

That said, they are pretty good and vintage ones are as sought after (if not more so) than their big brothers, especially since they often have interesting movements like El Primeros.

Recently they stopped selling in America so their stock has somewhat fallen.

There's a bit more on Tudor here - http://www.yorktime.com/articles/2004072783211

I like the ad - very "Top Gear on a good day" :D

Actually I think the Heritage Chrono could become my Grail watch (and not just because of the NATO type strap) 8)

I am not really a Chrono man as quite often I find the dials too fussy, but there is something different about this one.

Nice watch and design.

So does this mean that if you wear a Tudor you are basically saying to the World "I wanted a Rolex but could only afford their cheaper non Rolex branded version!"
Watches - Too many but not enough!

Paw - That's yesterday's thinking - get with the program

I think that with models like the Heritage Chrono they are trying to differentiate Tudor as a brand. There are still a couple which look almost like "homages" though..... :?

Great add and for my money they are marketing well - at one time I would have thought "poor man's Rolex - but not now, in fact I'd prefer one of these to a Rolex!
