Re: Fugly Watches R Us
Just seen one of the latest Bernard Richards pieces - yikes, designed to be read whilst driving.... !!!
I really like some of his more sober pieces with the racing theme and he's a great approachable chap who also does a fine range of cufflinks too, but his is a tad odd for me

Looks like a tacky re-design of an old (20's) design.
Not for me.

I know I'm a newbie here and don't want to ruffle any feathers, but you're all wrong! That's a cool watch!rcherryuk wrote:f1colin wrote:Just seen one of the latest Bernard Richards pieces - yikes, designed to be read whilst driving.... !!!

Crikey! Compared to that my blue Orient was an understated little beauty!xtriple wrote:I had that very watch!Tyke wrote:Orient do some nice stuff, but this isn't one of them

Always thought the idea was good (British made, made to order etc) But the product was way over the top on price and some of them looked a bit like something found a the bottom of a tool box. The straps either being very small or very large didnt help much either.
Wonder who actually buys that 30 grand Rolex monstrosity.

I think you've inflated the price x10, Robert!robert75 wrote:

Even so, I indulge your sentiments...if I was spending 3k on a watch it would have to be a damn' sight prettier than that!
