I'm not sure if they would go vintage but we did discuss vintage omegas (I earned some kudos by purposely wearing my dynamic, naturally) and I think they might not take vintage.Robin CB wrote:That is interesting DM - how old will they go? Oh and on a visit to the Omega Boutique recently I found that they take in pre owned Omegas for trade in which I didn't think a proper boutique would ever do but guess they are changing with the times.
And I wonder what sort of prices they will offer?
Is this a bit like the car scrapage scheme I wonder .......
With the pre owned watches, they service them then hand them off to dealers such as Fraser hart and Ernest jones who still sell omega in their stores (I.e where boutiques have not yet entered the market so I would think in reality they would take anything from the early 90s till now.
Pricing will suck compared to self sold, the store attendant I spoke to said they took in an 7 year old Planet ocean and gave £1000 for it....who knows what condition it was in though.
Yes the new terrascope etc, lost all character and they have deleted their most iconic model.....the highlands.
