Found my dream watch!

Post by jkbarnes »

All joking aside, that’s a lot of money to spend on knock off hidden behind a joke.

I don’t know Drew, $350 is a decent price for the specs. The Seiko movement is good, sapphire crystal, glide lock clasp… I say go for it!

The “dream watch” was tongue-in-cheek. While the specs are pretty good, it’s still a total knock-off. Even with the clever bit of copy on the dial, it’s still a knock-off. Nothing wrong with knock-offs, mind you, I just wouldn’t put that amount of money into one. I think I’d get an unbranded Parnis or something if I was looking for a knock off.

Regardless, I found the whole premise of the watches really amusing. That’s primarily why shared it.

At 42mm I think it's a bit larger than the original. I wouldn’t buy one, but I'd wear one if it was given to me.
