Ernest Jones sale had a Hamilton Khaki field chrono (7750) for about that price. Might still be some out there. This one uses mineral crystal no?

Sapphire...according to their website. I've never seen or held one, but I thought someone may be interested.

There's a review of one on wus, seemed well received at the time. I have checked the website before but the company name puts me off a tad.
Right I've got to stop posting overwise I'll hit 1000 without having got my SOTC post finished in time.

looks kinda OK.
If that's the natural lume colour (and it hasn't been enhanced) I think that is a bit too "in your face"

they have some much nicer looking models on their site for not much more money, like this one for 100 euros more
seems that every year UHR do a release of 100 of a model for a lowered price. They did the same thing last year, and this seems to be this years offering. Once 100 have been sold, the price will go back up (or it'll be withdrawn) its a sort of LE

They are now offering some models without the UHR logo and seem to be introducing more sapphire crystal too, maybe they have read some of the criticism on various forums.
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

I think that if UHR's watches are of decent build quality then they are great value, but the designs are generally a bit bland (and I dislike the black crowns on the divers).
The one that I do like (
because of its simplicity) is the
UHR-222. At €189 it looks like an absolute bargain... if I didn't already have watches like this it'd be a contender. It looks like a great introductory watch for anyone making the first step into our madness.

The UHR-511 quite takes my fancy but not much info about the quality/durability of these watches, has anyone else owned one of their watches?

Thanks sidders, quite like their chrono models but Im limiting my next watch to 40mm or ideally less and the 511 falls into that category v nicely
