I could pick many of Mr Jones' past and current offerings but this is an 'interesting' summertime piece.

I have long been an admirer of these wonderful pieces of mechanical art from MB&F and others. Always thought however, if more were made large enough to see the workings without a loupe, what a great piece to display on a desk. I think a few have. Can't imagine strapping one of these things to my wrist and trying to get through a doorway.
Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

^^^ There is a chap on another forum who has an HM9. MB&F also produce robots to display the watch.

Certainly beats me trying to position a Submariner as a desk clock. :)

Thomas Prescher double axis tourbillon. Most of the movement is encased in the bezel surround, with the tourbillon suspended in the void.

Hours, moon phase and minutes on top, and the bottom is month and date, which also spins AS THE ROTOR for this automatic timepiece.

Kind of interesting I’d say.

The words "Dear God" and "no" are the only things preventing my eyeballs from falling out.

The only reason I'm not a fat pop singer or an F1 driver is that I'd really rather not have to buy these things or wear them as "product placement"

I confess to liking the green snake strap in the first post  but otherwise I'm rather more Hayley Mills than Richard Mille!

This vintage Universal Geneve is up at the latest Sotheby's auction. Made me think of this thread.

There’s this thing, of course, from the Kings of Fugly. last seen on a spacecraft trying to eat Sigourney Weaver, if I remember correctly.

I can’t reconcile a street artist doing faces somehow….doesn’t seem to fit with the whole ethos.

Well..street art is a visual art produced in public spaces for public view. It’s supposed to make a statement about society. Mydogsighs specialises in using stuff he finds….in fact his website states “ My Dog Sighs's style is characterised by the combination of melancholic and often naive portraiture with the use of found materials including abandoned food cans.”
Tribus watches website actually states “ Explore My Dog Sighs' work, and particular themes repeat themselves: love and loss; the plight of the unheard; a cry for help; the environment. The list is emotive for a reason… to remind a blinkered society what really matters.”

Therefore I don’t really see how painting some 2.5k watch dials in abstract colours which don’t relate to either of those statements fits with his ethos.

All I can say, MDS was and is enthusiastic about the project.
