This particular digital display, Captain, is accurate to 1 second in 5.76353271 times ten to the power of twelve million years.

Awesome!! I do like the green, but probably because I'm weird.
A superb collection, covers almost all bases.
Lovely watches, and the Bremont is a cracker

I have come around to Bremont. Maybe it's the marketing or maybe it's the fact I see more of them around now than previously. If only I had the money basically. I'd love one at some stage along with many other watches. Maybe it's the Britishness of the brand that has started to appeal to me ?

My collection is no longer in a state of turmoil and I reckon another SOTC could be a bit repetitive...Viognier wrote:

Here's two Q&D pictures that sum it all up:
First, the three "beaters" - in the loosest sense of the word, since I don't abuse any of them:
And then the main box:
Not a great picture, but - back row Nomos Weltzeit, JLC Geophysic, Omega AT Golf, Bremont Alt1-C, Zenith El Primero 36000, IWC VC Ingenieur - front row Omega Speedmaster 50th, Rolex GMT Master IIc, Rolex Explorer II, Tudor Black Bay, Tudor Pelagos, Omega POLM
I am not anticipating any further changes.
I won't ask how much it costs to insure all of that. £££££

How about a nice photo of your 3 chronographs together?

I shall see what I can come up with....atnits wrote:How about a nice photo of your 3 chronographs together?

Here's a few snaps of the chronographs...
I rarely (if ever, really) use a chronograph, but I do like the aesthetic they provide - breaking up the space in a dial, but adding to the symmetry. These three have 3 different movements and are clearly different from a design point of view. The Bremont and Omega are chronometers, although the Zenith is probably one of my most accurate watches. The only one that does not hack is the EP.
Looking at the rear views, the Bremont looks quite basic next to the others. In fact, the movement is nicely finished, but the smaller rear crystal and the unpolished case is clearly more about function than form.
From the front, the Speedy stands out for legibility, although both of the others are fine in real life. The EP wins the date clarity race, and (for me) the Bremont wins on symmetry.
Of the three, I think the Zenith probably wears largest, due to the very minimal bezel.
From a practical point of view, these are all 100M WR, although the Bremont is the only one with a screw-down crown, and of course, it has the hardened case. From my experience, the Omega case is more robust than the Zenith. The Speedy looks good on a bracelet, but I found my Bremont Supermarine too heavy, so I doubt I'd get a bracelet for the Alt1-C. The Zenith looks quite blingy on the bracelet and I suspect it would make it wear too large (and anyway, the bracelet is megabucks).

They're a great set, with minimal overlap from an aesthetic point of view. Hard to pick a winner there... Luckily for you, you don't have to.

yes, it's ok to say "threesome" here.
the "g" is for Greg...

Excellent work Downer. They look great together, and seem to complement each other too - they are all different enough to earn their place. Interesting to hear your thoughts on them as well.
