Thanks all for the comments.

I've been looking at Sinns quite a lot recently, and I'm very interested in them. I've yet to buy a watch that's in the over 1k category, and I always thought that if/when I get one, it will be an Omega or Tag. However, I have a tendency towards bad luck so I'm pretty sure my lovely expensive watch would be scratched pretty quickly. Therefore, the tegiment technology would come in handy... :D
I wonder if the good people of this forum have experience of tegimented Sinns.
Although I don't have experience of tegimented Sinn watches, I have read very positive comments on the toughness of the finish. The other option is Damasko. I owned one for a while (purchased second hand), and it was absolutely unmarked when I sold it.
Phil0886 wrote:The way that the hands are visible at such shallow angles is amazing, congrats Richard. Out of interest which other quartz watches did you consider?
Mainly I looked at Breitling, particularly the Aerospace. In the end I decided I didn't want the ana-digi functionality and I also found the titanium case a bit light. I also looked at Grand Seiko (probably the best quartz movements?), but could not find a model I liked enough.

Looks fantastic. Another worthy addition to your collection. The oil-filled aspect is fantastic. Of course, if you need to offload something to make room for it, just let me know. ;)

Cheers Greg. It wears very well given the 44mm case. It is surprising how much difference there can be between watches that are apparently the same size. Clearly, the case diameter is only one measurement and the lug length, case height, lug width and lug shape also have quite a bearing on the fit.

I missed this the other day....

Very nice watch Richard, the liquid filled case really makes it a very legible watch from all angles.

Another cracking addition to the collection, very 8)

It's a Sin I still do not have a Sinn in my collection. They are so unique looking. I have my heart set on a U1! Someday, someday!

Rubber strap was the way forward for this one, wouldn't look as poised on a bracelet. The hands are much more preferable to the lego style blocks on other Sinn divers.

I wouldn't mind a Sinn (mostly the lemania 5100's) but with the recent price rises I'm put off a bit, only really because I remember how much of a bargain they were before but I never made the most of it at the time but should have.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

I was preparing all the normal good things to say... and the Sinn deserves them; model of clarity, engineering excellence, dial-floating-effect ... but then you go and post this...

... and NOW I realise how much I like your Bremont. Even when it's half obscured by the Sinn.

Richard, great watch and you've got me seriously thinking of getting one of these. I had the U1 but sold it for no reason and looking back it was a great watch. I like the idea of a quartz after some bad experiences with my autos being serviced. Although the sending back to Germany for a battery change is a bit daunting a thought.
Why the hell did I sell my SMP and X33,,, 2 great quartz watches that if I kept I doubt if id be looking for another quartz :(

I'm very happy with it to be honest. It's a great go-to watch and a bit different from others because of the oil-filled case - it actually looks quite different to any other watch...

I'd totally recommend the rubber strap version. I bought a bracelet with mine, but honestly, I doubt I'll use it.
