That was one of the reasons I looked at the Black Bay to begin with. While I have quite a few Omegas, I certainly like (and own) other brands as well, so I thought it might be time to investigate Tudor as one-off...

I hadn't really been that impressed by them from the pics I'd seen, but I figured if they're so popular there must be something to them in reality that appeals vs photos. And that's very true, I found them much nicer in real life and can now understand the wide appeal.

I must also admit that I also found the Pelagos very nice, though it overlaps with my collection much more than the BB. The advisor was also a beautiful watch, but the price is significantly higher and hard to justify in my mind, particularly as I'd never use the alarm complication that probably makes up a large part of the cost. The case shape is just gorgeous and I love a watch with crowns at 2 and 4!

Seems to be this is the one you really want, no doubt it is a beautiful watch. In luxury watches, we are anyways overpaying for a lot of things you do not really need, for e.g. rarely does anyone need more than 100m WR - the step from 50m to 300m is expensive, nevertheless we pay for it all the time. Go with your heart.
