There is a reason you got it for a bargain price; no COSC certificate? Was it mentioned at all in the sales description?

I bought a C7 IRR COSC quartz from CWL a couple of years ago, brand new but minus COSC cert. Paid 'nearly new' price i.e. 30% discount. Seemed like a fair enough deal.

Think you've got four options, Adam;-

1. Accept the status quo, move on and enjoy the watch.
2. Return it for a refund on the grounds of 'not sold as described'.
3. Contact retailer and see if they've still got the COSC cert lying around somewhere and if not, are they prepared to do something about it.
4. Contact Certina and see if they are prepared to get it recertified with the issue of a new COSC certificate.

Hope this helps.

You can also get the certs re-issued by COSC themselves, but it will be marked "duplicate", and can only be done once.

Good call Nick, though unfortunately I don't recall seeing a serial number on the watch- so you mighy need to take the back off to look for a serial on the movement.
