With all respect Richard, I'm not expecting you to fathom it. It's my opinion of the guy that's all. He's far too smiley for my liking and I think he'd probably be well suited to a part in a Batman movie !downer wrote:Can't quite fathom that reaction myself. He seems ok to me. New Bremont models
http://www.bremont.com/collection/new-r ... 51&urlid=2
A few new releases. Quite like the design on the Airco models. The new Supermarine 300 though I am not so sure about, possibly a bit too similar to the Omega Seamaster 300 vintage inspired models which I am not a fan of. Although the bezel looks to be matte which could be nice.
Progress made in the sizing of the new models however in that they are 40mm and slimmer than traditional Bremonts.

If it helps the Supermarine case lug to lug is 50mmnbg wrote:That one in blue is the pick for me, however looking at the face on shots the lugs look proportionately longer to me than the standard 43mm case, which I don't like.downer wrote:I think this is my favourite of the new stuff so far...
Interested to know if these smaller cases still contain the shock absorber etc...

PS: Still when Jura have a sale, it may prove difficult to resist.

Are you referring to the new 40mm Supermarine or the current 43mm version?neil8fletcher3 wrote:If it helps the Supermarine case lug to lug is 50mmnbg wrote:That one in blue is the pick for me, however looking at the face on shots the lugs look proportionately longer to me than the standard 43mm case, which I don't like.downer wrote:I think this is my favourite of the new stuff so far...

Thanks. Wow, that means the lug-to-lug on the new version is virtually the same as the existing 43mm case. Have to say, that puts me off the new watches quite a bit.neil8fletcher3 wrote:The new 40mm version

Loving the new line up. I was fortunate enough to have met Nick and Giles once, a couple of years ago, and they're very nice guys. Far more down to earth than I was expecting.

So close yet so far 50mm lug to lug seems a bit of an Owen goal was expecting the proportions to be better. Agree with Neil the solo 37 looks on paper to be more wearable.
