An update. I purchased a Hirsch Heritage in Gold Brown and I fitted it this morning. It's immediately more comfortable than the Bremont Vintage strap and (based on the other Heritage strap I have) it will only get better.

I also think it looks fine - although of course, that's subjective and I am biased. :)

In other news, I'm pretty sure I am not ready or willing to sell the "C", so for now I will keep them both on the Hirsch straps:

Richard
I have to say both of those look terrific. I too would recommend keeping both as they each bring something different. If you want to reduce numbers look elsewhere. I think collections can include 3 from one brand

A very sound decision Richard.
The two watches are very different and deserve lots of wrist time.

Congrats. Bremont is not my cuppa, but I can see the appeal of that one. Three! You really are a fan.

Hi Richard, congrats on finding the best straps for your watches.

Have a ZT myself and think I will get a Hirsch too. Do I see it correctly you use the deployment clasp?

I ask because I have difficulties to fit anything thicker than 4mm and the Heritage is listed with 4.4mm - 7mm depending on where you look. Are there different versions, like a padded and unpadded one?

^^^ Yes, I used the Bremont deployant, which is a great fit on the Hirsch. I have to admit that since this thread, I've actually sold both watches...

What a shame ;) I just swapped my classic Alt1-Z for the ZT after 8 years

But thanks for the info, now I just need to decide if the anthrazite would fit the ZT too.

Great looking watch! I'll be honest and say that, although the watches are undeniably wonderfully built and have fantastic tool features like anti-magnetic cages etc. I'm not a Bremont fan as I cannot get over their - to me - manufactured 'heritage' which was further sunk by the BS launch of their IH movement (same reason I don't buy Tags these days).

But I will say again, the watch is a stunner and I'm being picky.

Give the strap time, I've had a few that started stiff and left the watch at a funny angle on my wrist, but agfter a couple of weeks of softening meant the case sat far more naturally on the wrist. I bet it's really high-quality leather, but it needs time to mould to your wrist. You can't judge a new strap on stiffness, in my experience.

Thanks again for all the kind words (even you Smeggers :)). It's almost embarrassing to admit the watches are gone but I still have the straps...
