Re: Been shopping
I must say, BB seem now to be the 'go-to' watch on here, overtaking Speedmasters and Rolex diver variations. They look very smart indeed and are clearly of the 'moment'. Our local jeweller keeps on sending me invitations to try one with the IH movement....next time I am in Christchurch unaccompanied I WILL do so.
Many congratulations.
Many congratulations.

Re: Been shopping
Thanks for all the nice comments (even Nick's was going to take it back but under consideration our lifestyles are very similar ) will try and do a bit of a write up later but here's some more pics
Re: Been shopping
Beautiful watch. I hope I am wrong, but does the bezel look slightly misaligned here?
Re: Been shopping
No Scott it looks dead on to me I think it's just the angle I'm holding my iPad to take the pic
Re: Been shopping
Perfect, just wanted to make sure! If it were, it is certainly out of character for a company like Tudor.kiter65 wrote:No Scott it looks dead on to me I think it's just the angle I'm holding my iPad to take the pic

The first thing that was nice was the fact the doorman unlocked the door and let my brother-in-law and me in with a good morning Sir (both of us in t-shirt and shorts)
David, shop guy, introduced himself with a good firm handshake wearing a very nice Rolex and a offer of tea/ coffee told us a little bit about the company and himself before going to get the BB steel
Fell in love instantly but had to go through the joy of the purchase asked to compare it with the BB red off David went and came back with a number of BBs to try
I think this was the first time I've been to a ADs where the chap actually knew a lot about watches
After the usual fight trying to get a bit of discount/free Tudor watch mount/ extra strap all very playful but NO chance he offered a free bottle of champagne I know it's all part of the game and no doubt everyone gets one but it's just nice to get something extra. I know it makes a lot of people cringe when asking for discount but having worked in the motor trade for years I think it's just imbedded in me
Anyway deal done off it goes to get sized another coffee and the offer from David to look at anything else
We had a look at just about everything in shop at one stage Trev was wearing a £67000 Patek Philippe in fact the more we asked about a watch the more David enjoyed it (I think)even with the knowledge that we where never going to buy any of them
Some of you reading this will probably think that is just normal customer service but I was made to feel very welcome and had a great day
The only regret is I completely forgot to take any pics but probably wouldn't have felt comfortable doing that anyway

Sounds like you had a wonderful experience and lovely to see that customer service still exists in the world.kiter65 wrote:Never make a journalist/writerPipesmoker wrote:Nice pick up!

Even better is the fact that you came away with a bloody gorgeous watch!
Was it the Leicester branch?
