I agree, it is a thick/chunky watch, and the way the bezel is outward/round makes it wear larger. The BB was also a better size for me, but I definitely like the Pelagos better, as a watch.Boydesian wrote:I really like the Pelagos and tried one with a view to buy last April. This is the old model of course, but as much as I like the design (I like the new version too) I found that it simply looked too chunky strapped onto my not that tiny 7.5 inch wrist. I ended up buying a BBBlue instead, and have never regretted it.

Yeah, its not looking good, atleast from this guy's point of view :
"Yesterday, I was able to handle the new blue Pelagos at a local AD in Berne/Switzerland. I was wearing my trusty first generation Pelagos, so I was able to compare them in detail.
Unfortunately, all my fears proved to be true: for my taste, the blue is not dark enough and too candy-like looking (reminds me of the blue used for the dial of the white gold Submariner), the 5 lines of text look even worse in the real world and I would really miss the 3 o'clock marker. But most of all, the watch now sits considerably higher on the wrist due to the larger/taller caseback."

Basically, just the color of the new ceramic blue C60s.

I love the electric blue. I can't wait to try one in person, then figure out how to afford one... unless I pick up a Damasko in the mean time...

I like the prior Pelagos, a fine, simple tool watch. I don't care for that blue at all. Also, too much text on the dial. In-house movement is always encouraged, though. If I wanted a blue watch like that I'd go with a Trident I think. I greatly prefer the Trident's and even the Submariner's blue over the Pelagos'.
