Re: AT Journey
Excellent journey Richard. It seems that the collection might be growing just a bit.
You have always had great taste in watches.

Re: AT Journey
Very nice Richard, the two ATs go well together. To me the PCLs and red text simply help to differentiate it further from your golf version...
My first AT was a 38.5mm quartz teak dial, that was later replaced by a 41.5mm 8500 Golf variant; the same model as yours. I then made the mistake(??) of trying on the previous 2500 model and the significantly slimmer profile combined with the 39.2mm size did it in for the 8500 Golf and I now have the red dialled Marui LE, a relatively uncommon white dialled one with blue hands (and blued hour markers) plus a Railmaster variant of the AT. I'm still toying with the idea of getting another 8500, but I'm favouring the blue dial at the moment, just unsure as to which size. Still, it may never happen... However seeing your two pictured here is stoking the fire a little...

Re: AT Journey
Thanks, Kip. As for the numbers, you are quite right - I am up to 18, although one is for sale. It may be time for another consolidation.Kip wrote:Excellent journey Richard. It seems that the collection might be growing just a bit.

Re: AT Journey
Yessss... trying on the 2500 AT will not be a rabbit-hole I will be going down. The 8500 AT is a good size for me, so I'll be looking at a couple of other variants in the future. Whisper it, but I quite like the gold-capped version.gaf1958 wrote:Very nice Richard, the two ATs go well together. Re: AT Journey
A great journey indeed Richard.
The Aqua Terra has always been 'the one' for me but quite simply I can't afford one, hence my C65's, the CW AT
As I have a trio of these, I don't see anything wrong in the slightest with you having two AT's.

Thanks, Ferg. It's always good to know that my behaviour is considered normal - at least by a few.MiniMpi wrote:A great journey indeed Richard.

Re: AT Journey
The 2503.33 was one of the first expensive watches I fell for. Never got one and tastes have changed but there are a lot of variants I'd love to try (especially the Skyfall one)

Re: AT Journey
Actually Ferg, the C65 LE is what has stopped me from buying another AT, namely the Skyfall blue... and yes, it's because I like it so much, not the opposite! Every time I consider it, I think of the C65 and think "happy with that one".MiniMpi wrote:A great journey indeed Richard.

Re: AT Journey
Congratulations on a lovely AT Richard. For some reason the AT that appeals to me is the 38.5mm quartz version.
Just to join in - I see no issue with having multiples of the same watch either - why not if you find a winning design.
Congratulations again - enjoy

Re: AT Journey
Only just spotted this thread. Very nice indeed. The AT is very close to the perfect single watch - having two makes a lot of sense
