I just use Internet time or the atomic time app on my iPhone.

Both much cheaper than £20 for an ugly bug casio to keep in the drawer!

But enjoy it if you got it

What's the point of a rotating disc quartz watch?!
I mean, that thing Ian posted and you lot all bought is hideous, but it wears its functionality proud on its little digital face. That Accurist is a monster, a monster I tells ye! :lepra:
Yes, they were both out of stock near me...

Ian, in all seriousness, your arm suits proper watches so much better. Just consign that... that electronic gubbins to a corner of your drawer and use it to set your real watches. You know, the timepieces. Thanks.

Everyone's gone mad on here. Madness, I tells ye!

Drunk on a cheap watch. You'll all wake up tomorrow regretting what you did.

To all you watch snobs with your goody goody, lah-di-dah-di, namby hoity wishy pamby toity washy, dah-di-la-di, know-it-all, public school, stiff upper lip, stiff upper house master, prim and proper little pretty boy watches!!!

I've just spent nearly 2 weeks in Zomerzzet at a mates house helping him with an extension (my holiday for this year!) and I'd have been mental to wear anything else! It got thoroughly used and abused and took anything that I could throw at it and it happily keeps beating away!

What more could you ask for a beater? 8) A proper MANS watch!

Got one reserved at my local Argos...cant make my mind up though :? Do I need another indistructible watch?

Now stop knocking them, go and buy one and BE A MAN FOR ONCE!

Gosh, bigvic, that sounds awfully like manual labour, what?
Round these parts we leave that sort of business to the staff. Not very gentlemanly, all that sweating and what not.

No regrets.

Says the man who bought the complicated maths watch.   I thought the Fortis was better as it was fun. That watch is just geeky. Oh. Maths teacher. OK, Geekiness explained.  8) Says the man who does IT.

I don't really intend it for serious wearing but at that price it was worth it even if it is only used as a time keeper. But as people have said about G-Shocks I thought it was worth a punt at £20 to see how I got on with it. I have plenty of "proper" watches, Unless you believe the TZ-UK snobs in which case I don't have any as I don't own a Rolex, Omega or a Panerai.

Ian, for TZ-UK Rolexes and Panerais are for cheapos; Omega may as well be chinese. You need to start at Audemars Piguet and work up.

Well, yes, one does have a G-shock, bought as a beater. But one so seldom gets involved in any beating these days.

But it's Grouse Season old boy! Lend it to one of the staff while he does the beating!
