Get it! I had my heart set on the moon phase but stumbled upon a retrograde per owned but near new for a good price and ended up getting that, I may still end up buying the moon phase.

For the price point you get a lot for your money with a Longines and reading up, the service costs are not too steep either. The only downside I see with the retrograde is the strap is not as great as it could be I think the strap on the moon phase is better.

Hi Simon57. Went for the new style in black. Got the better ETA and brushed strap. Fancied a 39mm for a change, as all my others are 42mm. Got a red and green CW and a blue Orient, so got the black on steel for a more 'classy' look.
Cheers

Seems they will consider it only on those they can get shipped without being charged a VAT, and only if you ask. So that makes most of them at least 16.67% or more higher than they need be sans VAT for us non-UK/non-EURO residents.
Very helpful post - many thanks!

I'm in Thailand and registered and went through the motions of placing an order and sure enough, no reduction on the UK price, as there should be. They also charge £50 for posting by courier, which doesn't seem unreasonable, but the higher price and shipping may negate any benefit in using them. I'm in no hurry and next time I'm in Bangkok I'll see what deal I can get on the watch I'm interested in, then take it from there.
