Here you go.
Thanks, I wish I hadn't looked now as I NEED the Radio Room Watch in my life
I know it's definately not going to be to everyone's taste (if anyones) but as a mariner I relate to it

I have no idea if I like the Smiths Everest as Eddie has stated that he can only send out around 18 a day and I am obviously not in the first 36.

Its decades since I had a watch without the date.
Not sure I could cope.
Shame as I like the look.

Very nice, and certainly cheaper than the other watch worn to the top of Everest. Of course, it's 4mm too big...
I would prefer different hands though. Mercedes hands are just so boring.

I keep looking at the Smiths and can't decide whether I like it or not. Indifference is the most appropriate word I can think of to describe my opinion of it. I don't dislike it, but it isn't something i'd spend money on.

From pics on TZ watch seems to wear larger on the wrist than 40. Like the gloss Everest on the dial.

To be honest I prefer the look of the original rather than the new watch bearing the SMITHS name.
or
versus
which as said is very Rolex Explorer
...but then I have a soft spot for vintage (and vintage look) watches with a seconds sub-dial at 6 o'clock position.

I must admit the Explorer 1 had escaped my radar, but now that I have seen it it is growing on me.
The MKII Vantage seems a better homage however as that does have a date and sapphire crystal, although I see it is no longer made.
Its tempting me into the dark world of replicas, which do have a sapphire crystal.

Replicas? I assume you mean 'hommages'? World of difference.

Plain and boring or plain boring and same goes for the Rolex. The original Smiths Explorer really like that.

The 9015 does have a date wheel for display at 3 o'clock position (see by
clicking here ).
It's just the dial/watch design doesn't cater for it. Then it wouldn't be so Rolex Explorer 'homage'.
As an example Junkers do a 36mm diameter watch (described as ladies) with that movement with the date - see by
clicking here or on image...
