Another new addition
This little beauty turned up today this is the sellers photo as it's to dark to take one inside but will take my own ones tomorrow when it's daylight.
So it's a Tudor Prince Oysterdate in Rolex case with Rolex crown, calibre 2462 movement with lever escapement, 25 jewels, 18,000 BPH, cyclops date.
By today's standards it's considered small at 34mm with a 19mm strap.
Lovely condition don't know the exact date but is early 60's due to the small rose logo.
I will order a croc or alligator strap tomorrow for it as they suit this type of watch better than plain leather.
Today's photo
Thanks for looking
Kevin

Re: Another new addition
Very nice . If you look between the lugs at the 6 o'clock position there should be a serial number , this will give the date of the watch or close to it .

Re: Another new addition
Thank you I always thought Tudor did not put the serial number on the case as Rolex did but this dated it to 1964.

That's sweet, Kevin. Top notch purchase.
What will you now be selling to make room for it?

Dial printing looks a bit off to me (like sticking a lume dot right in the middle of the word 'Swiss' but it's more than likely kosher.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Re: Another new addition
Just checked numerous photos via Google all of these show the same as mine they put the lume dot at the end of the 5 minute batons so that's why it appears to cut over the Swiss wording, so all kosher.Dancematt wrote:Dial printing looks a bit off to me (like sticking a lume dot right in the middle of the word 'Swiss' but it's more than likely kosher.

The Brietling is going, its on EBay and the price is already higher than I advertised it for on this forum, with still 3 days to go and 11 watchers so will hopefully do ok with it.

Re: Another new addition
Greetings,
Very nice, is it a birth year watch?
Or is that a rude question?

Whilst the forum is a great place to buy and sell, I too have found that one can do better on ebay at times.
Hoping the sale goes through for you.

Re: Another new addition
I agree, looking at other examples more I think it's kosher watch but with a relume job at some point. Love those leaf hands.kevin_b1 wrote:Just checked numerous photos via Google all of these show the same as mine they put the lume dot at the end of the 5 minute batons so that's why it appears to cut over the Swiss wording, so all kosher.Dancematt wrote:Dial printing looks a bit off to me (like sticking a lume dot right in the middle of the word 'Swiss' but it's more than likely kosher.
