A (Very) Generous Gift

Post by teestech »

So, I managed to win a prize in Steve's (AVO's) "Where in the world" competition on the Off Topic board.

Today, it arrived. Still can't believe the generosity of Steve in running the competition and giving his own belongings as prizes. Top man AVO!

Anyway, here it is. I'm very pleased with it, and it'll join my Grandfather's 1957 Majex in the vintage corner of my small collection.

Once again, big thanks to Steve.

Looks good, Colin! I'm pleased you like it. I'm much happier to see nice watches being worn than stuck in a box, and I have rather a lot of vintage dress watches! :D

And it sounds like it's gone to a good home with an appreciative new owner. Nice one!

Thanks everyone (especially Steve). I will indeed appreciate the watch as part of my small collection. In fact, I wore it for the whole day today as I was so pleased to receive it.
