Fascinating - thanks very much. TE Lawrence's watch is beautiful; I'm sure it could tell some stories. Was JFK's his everyday watch or a presentation gift?

The little blurb next to the watch stated that it was actually gifted to JFK before he was even elected by some senator or congressman (don't remember). That person was so sure that JFK would win the presidency that he engraved the watch saying President JFK.

Great thing to do whilst across there

I'll bet there was a real sense of horological history inside the place :)

Think if i ever went to this part of Europe i would try to fit this in

Thanks. It's widely assumed that JFK's dad Joe bought him the Presidency thanks to the Chicago mob. Maybe the senator/congressman had some inside information?

Seen most Speedmaster LE's but for some reason the Apollo 13 has escaped me, great pics and a nice day out 8)
I miss all the great things that may never be.
