Well,it's returned from its trip to Rich Askham's capable ministrations...and i have to say it's looking good 8)
Rich has given it a full service,shortened the winding stem slightly,sorted the crystal,repaired a small hole in the lume in the red in one of the hands and a small bit of missing paint on the edge of the dial.
As always,a top job :)

Now,i just need a strap for it!

That does look awesome. I've always had a soft spot for Fortis. Would like to be able justify getting a cosmonaut to my other half

That turned out rather well. You could put that on a rubber band and it'd look good (slight exaggeration).

Looks great. I hadn't heard of Rick before but checked out his site. I didn't see any information about costs on the site though. Does he have a standard price list or does he charge by quote? Anyone know of someone similar in the states? I have a couple vintage pieces I'd be interested in having cleaned up.
