LMAO. It was more tongue in cheek observation.

No srsly. Ok. I understand the whole idea behind 38 mm Pams. But it is just wrong on so many levels. And new Base Logo are with 100m WR and pins in lugs.

Its like Rolex released 47 mm Sub. Sure they will sell like cupcakes but its not PAM anymore.

On the other hand, if fliegers always had to be giant watches, I would never be able to enjoy my 36mm Archimede Pilot.

But I agree about the 30m WR. That is just cutting corners and reduces the "cred" of the watch.

I have to admit though that while I do like the white/ivory dialed one, Panerais in general have never been my thing.

Mans watch, when you put it on wrist your voice grows deeper, you grow your hair in all the places and you feel sudden urge to swim across the channel before the morning coffee. It injects testosterone in such amount that bulls in Pamplona run from you, ladies in 100 yards radius wet their pants and you gain square chin, 20 pounds of muscles and 20/20 vision in few hours.

Instant Alpha male.

This is... Ridiculous...
Greetings,

Your post raised a smile that's all and reminded me of the ads for Weetabix and Lynx?

That's all.

Again sorry to BerlinCW for jumping the gun.

I have once written on local forum that Panerai used Valjoux 7750 with few parts missing and all hell broke lose (and worse is I did not lie. They actually did) . Panerai fans are hard crowd.

Was at Yorkdale mall on Friday and stopped by the Panerai boutique. They had all the new 40mm and 42mm watches in. The 42mm white dial pam 1523 w blue small seconds is a wonderful piece. And there are just 1500 worldwide of the 1523's. I'd probably have dived for it then had that size and exact dial colour been available in the Due style -- man, that is a svelte Panerai. Side by side with the Marina it looks half as thick which I know is an illusion, but there is quite a difference. I like it so much so that I am seriously toying with a reworking of my box to discard a couple of totally unused pieces to partially cover the cost of the pam 1523 or, if I can get to love Due 0906 with white dial and blue text, one of those albeit not with a blue strap.

And I asked about the green on green shown earlier in this thread, but that store was already sold out of that piece.
