36-38mm diameter automatic at CW price

Post by SimonB »

Could anyone recommend any 36 - 38 mm diameter automatic watches . Ideally slimmer than the usual 10mm , Swiss made and not too expensive . I have a C61 and would like to get a more dress type watch to add to my small collection . I gather that the slimmer CW is likely to be 40mm diameter which is just too big for me .

Does it need to be automatic, Simon? I can think of a few hand-wound pieces.

Thanks for ideas , Steve - I'd be happy with hand wound - just don't want quartz

38mm Hamilton Intra-matic? The RRP's a bit higher than CW-level prices, but with sales, you might be able to get it cheaper. Or you could try getting a pre-owned one.

The main criticism of it is that there is no seconds hand, so you can't see any conspicuous movement on the face - that might be important to you.
